Join the Prism team!

Hi! We’re Prism. As an independent and nonprofit newsroom led by journalists of color, we tell stories from the ground up: to disrupt harmful narratives, and to inform movements for justice.

We believe that journalism is a powerful tool toward our vision for collective liberation and justice. By listening to and amplifying the stories of those on the frontlines of injustice and grassroots-led solutions, we help our readers better understand issues of injustice at depth, and equip them with the knowledge and insights to act.

By, For, and With. Prism’s approach to reporting is grounded in trust and relationships, centering the people and communities who experience injustices firsthand. We’re investing in this model by providing a platform for the next generation of journalists, storytellers, and thought leaders of color—and we want you to join us.

We’re hiring!

While we are headquartered in California, we are a fully-remote team—with staff member locations ranging from the Bay Area, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and the US South.
