Nicole Martin (she/they) born and raised on Tiwa lands. She is Diné and K'awaikameh—Navajo and Laguna Pueblo—and one of three co-founders for Indigenous Women Rising (IWR). Nicole created an Indigenous centered sex education curriculum. She is co-chair for the Coalition for Choice, a coalition along with constituents who successfully repealed New Mexico's antiquated 1969 abortion ban. Nicole is a community organizer who continues to strengthen her leadership skills and learning how to be a better relative. Indigenous Women Rising is led by our Indigenous teachings, therefore we believe everyone deserves safe, equitable access to the full spectrum of health care.
