Sruthi Gopalakrishnan was born and raised in Coimbatore, a city in the south of India. She recently graduated from Northwestern University with a Master's degree in Journalism focusing on Investigative Reporting. As a journalist, she is interested in issues relating to racial justice, business, labor rights, and the environment. With an undergraduate degree in computer science engineering, she explores ways to present data-driven stories using multimedia and interactive elements.
